Electronic Payment in Public Transportation
The Electronic Payment System in the Paid Public Transportation of Persons is a project promoted by:
• The Council of Public Transportation (CTP)
• The Costa Rican Railroad Institute (Incofer)
• The Regulatory Authority of Public Services (Aresep)
• The Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR)
The system assists in providing transportation services for persons with a multimodal, secure, efficient and interoperable electronic payment mechanism that supports the modernization of public transportation in Costa Rica.
