Under the Stock Exchange Regulatory Law (Ley Reguladora del Mercado de Valores, No. 7732) the Banco Central de Costa Rica is responsible for the administration of the record of bonds issued by the Government and by public institutions through an electronic book entry system. To fulfill its mandate, has integrated the nation’s book entry system to SINPE’s business platform, so that operations may be liquidated under the principle of delivery versus payment. Administration of bond accountsBond accounts of custodian entities and those of their clients are administered through this service. It is part of the infrastructure of the National Electronic Book Entry System.
