Types of Certificates and Validity
• Electronic Agent Certificate: The Legal Person Electronic Agent Certificate allows for the electronic authentication of the identity of a legal person, thus ensuring that the entity is actually the person they claim to be. These certificates are designed for exclusive implementation in automated processes.
• Electronic Seal Certificate: The Legal Person Electronic Seal Certificate is the equivalent of a natural person’s digital signature, but for services that are always automated. This certificate is used to digitally sign electronic documents, with the guarantee that they meet the integrity and authenticity requirements established by law.
• Electronic Seal Certificate with Custody by BCCR: This certificate allows for the signature of electronic documents, like the Electronic Seal Certificate, but this certificate includes custody services by the BCCR, providing a high-level security scheme and integration with the Central Signing Facility already offered by the BCCR, aimed at simple and safe document signing.
Upon the request of this service, cryptographic keys are securely generated, and the digital seal is issued without the need for additional processes within the company.
Certificate Validity
Each certificate will be valid for a period of 4 years.
