Los Presentes es un conjunto escultórico en bronce del artista costarricense Fernando Calvo, ubicado en la plazoleta exterior del Banco Central de Costa Rica desde 1989. La obra está compuesta por nueve figuras humanas de tamaño natural que representan a los habitantes tradicionales del Valle Central y al campesinado costarricense.

The dependence on the use of technologies in our daily lives has grown, from online payments, the purchase of services and products, among others, and this makes us vulnerable to fraud, so for our peace of mind There is a digital signature as this is a technological solution that gives security and confidence to electronic documents, regardless of the means that the information is sent, it will be with the integrity, authenticity and general non-alteration of the document, as well as the associated digital signature according to law 8454. In addition, through the use of the digital signature, several advantages are obtained such as carrying out transactions and procedures via the internet without the need to physically move, it saves time, money and fuel and even paper, and this has the same legal validity and probative power as the handwritten signature.

The enactment of Law 8454 on certificates, digital signatures and electronic documents, provided the juridical foundation for the issuance of Digital Signature Certificates in the country, granting digital signatures and electronic documents legal equivalence and the same evidentiary status as handwritten signatures and physical documents.

The Banco Central de Costa Rica has created a Certifying Authority for issuing digital signature certificates for private individuals (CA SINPE - Private individual), and another one for issuing certificates for corporations (CA SINPE- Corporation). Both certifying authorities belong to the National Hierarchy of Registered Certifiers, and are duly registered and authorized to operate by the Digital Signature Certifying Office of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications (MICITT), which is responsible for administering and supervising the national digital certificate system.
