Program 01 Formulation of Monetary and Exchange Policy

- Recommend the necessary policy measures to ensure that, during 2022, the year-on-year change of the CPI falls within the tolerance range defined by the Board of Directors for the inflation target.
- Prepare during 2022, based on the current economic situation, the macroeconomic program and its respective revision, in order to present macroeconomic projections and the proposal of monetary and exchange policy actions, consistent with the achievement of the priority objectives defined by the Board of Directors.
- Recommend in 2022, when circumstances require it, the necessary actions to prevent the country from incurring a balance of payments crisis, so that the level of net international reserves is consistent with the needs of the Costa Rican economy.
- Carry out research in 2022 that allows identifying both appropriate analysis methodologies and relevant information needed to incorporate the implications of climate change in the BCCR's macroeconomic programming.

Program 02 Implementation of Monetary and Exchange Policy

- Obtain, at the end of 2022, a return on the net international reserves (NIRs) managed by the Assets and Liabilities Division (ALD) greater than the return of the approved Strategic Allocation.
- Carry out Open Market Operations (OMO) at market or more favorable prices, subject to compliance with the amount required for these operations during 2022.
- Adopt the IMF recommendations to promote development of the foreign exchange market according to the schedule defined for 2022.

Program 06 Stability and Efficiency of the National Financial System

- Formulate a proposal for measures to maintain financial dollarization of the economy around the level identified as optimal, by December 2022.
- Implement the recommendations of the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) on the analysis of climate change scenarios in the methodologies for credit risk stress tests carried out by the Central Bank, by December 2022.
- Automate and standardize, using PowerBi and R reports, the consultation of at least 70% of the Financial Stability Department monitoring indicators that have been defined as first-stage priorities, by December 2022.
- Implement 100% of the processes that allow the management of the Deposit Guarantee Fund, by December 2022.
- Execute, when required, 100% of the investment strategy of the Guarantee Fund for the year 2022.
