Digital signature certificate issued on a card  digital certificate card

Digital signature certificates can be issued on a physical card, allowing subscribers to sign and authenticate documents under the Digital Certificates Law.

The requirements you must meet to obtain it are:

 • Be of legal age

 • Have a valid identification document

• Have a valid identification document

-        Foreign residents: Resident Identification Card - DIMEX.

-        Diplomats: Diplomatic Identification Card - DIDI.

-        Nationals: The latest identification card issued in your name by the Supreme Tribunal of Elections.

• Have no declared impediment such as legally declared absence (when the person is missing and their whereabouts are unknown), interdiction (suspension/loss of civil rights as specified by law), or insolvency.

Users must install the required drivers on their computer to use the digital signature. These may need to be updated during future renewals of the digital signature card due to driver changes, design improvements, or other technological updates.

These drivers can be obtained through the support center of the Registration Office (Oficina de Registro) where the card was issued.​​​
