International Bank Account Number

The IBAN is a standardized structure for bank account numbers, used internationally to uniquely identify a current, savings, or fund account of a customer in a financial entity.

Adopting the IBAN as a national account standard will make it possible to have a single account number for both local and international transactions.

For details about this standard, you can consult the Official Swift Website.

Entities that need to obtain the files for use in websites and facilitate the conversion of client account to IBAN, may request them in the BCCR.
